My Bondage Heroes
My hero's is going to be a little mini series of blogs inspired by a conversation I had with someone about who and what inspires me.
Mistress Miranda of The Bondage Mistress was one of the first websites I saw of a Mistress who really and truly knows her stuff. Way back in the day when I first started surfing online her website really stood out from the rest. In those days there was no video images just stills. What she had on her site was a magnitude of stills that showed a great deal of passion, inventiveness and dedication. Some were of session bondage and some were photoshoots set up especially. Either way, they really did inspire me to start trying to recreate some of it, mostly the more basic stuff initially. It also gave me ambition, to have something to strive towards, and to try to push myself to become more inventive and creative. Which is what Mistress Miranda most certainly excels at. Over the years her practice has evolved too and she now has a most excellent Members Site as well as her clips4sale studio and her own clip studio. Added to that, she has the most amazing kit and premises of any other UK bondage enthusiast I've seen.
When I finally got the chance to meet with Mistress Miranda and to film with her last year I was certainly not disappointed. She is just as creative in the moment and certainly puts a new meaning to thinking on your feet. As well as her bondage skills I'm also in awe of her driving work ethic (she makes me feel lazy) and of course her Medical Mistress skills, but that of course is for another blog!
Next is a website called Serious Images but more specifically it's sister site Serious Bondage which was the original free site these guys built. Back in the beginning this site was built to explore someones passion for bondage. It captured really well thought out, intricate and elaborate bondage well and was such a success that the pay site followed on with images and video. I am a member of the pay site and love so many of the shoots that are just not practical for someone with my space to indulge in, so it feeds my passion for the more bizarre and crazy bondage scenarios.
Talking of bizarre and crazy bondage scenarios, the next person to ignite my passion is the world famous Amanda Wildfyre who certainly lives up to her name. Again, back in the day it was just images that I had to go on but was never bored looking at her site and what she had been up to. She creates amazing bespoke bondage scenarios that can last for days and has done so for years. Now of course she too also has her own members site Castle Diabolica which of course showcases her passion, talent and enthusiasm for her craft. You could lose days, if not weeks of your life once you've become a member of this site, be warned!
Someone who's ethos really spoke to me is Mistress Troy Orleans of New York. Reading her blogs gives you a real insight into her world and her thinking. She shares openly in her blog her thoughts and feelings not just on her work, but other aspects of life and passions. I tried to catch up with Mistress Troy on my last visit to New york but sadly at that time she was in the UK, typical! At the moment MTO is taking a sabbatical but I'm sure I'm joined by many followers in hoping that she is not away from her practice too long and comes back refreshed and rejuvenated.
Moving onto the non professional scene and a bit more closer to home are a couple I've followed for years (her blog specifically). Both their passion and commitment to each other shines through in the blog, but me being me, I'm also totally captivated by his devious mind and ingenious ideas. Of course I'm always trying to think of ways to adapt my space to fit around practicalities like small spaces, different body sizes and shapes. I only wish I had this man's vision and resourcefulness.
